Are you a deal-oriented over-achiever with a passion for data marketing?  Excellent, because we are looking for a strong B2B Data sales professional who can identify, source and structure partnerships.  This role can be based in our Princeton, NJ or Tarrytown, NY locations. 

 

Our “ideal candidate” is an experienced, aggressive B2B data sales person who can open doors and close sales in the direct response arena.  The ideal candidate has a Rolodex filled with end-users, consultants, analysts and data aggregators who purchase business data for campaigns, analytics, customer intelligence and multichannel applications.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:  

  • Establish and meet budgeted revenue targets;
  • Plan and execute a national sales effort;
  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline;
  • Through effective pipeline management, communicate the results of sales calls, response to sales message, need for modifications in plan;
  • Work with marketing team in development of the sales support materials including product presentations and sales administration;
  • Contract development and negotiation  including monitoring profitability via pricing strategies;
  • Identify and communicate market and competitive intelligence to be used in product development and pricing;
  • Maintain regular communication with senior staff regarding goals, objectives, needs and progress. 

Qualifications

In addition, our "ideal candidate" has the following skills & experience:

  • BA/BS degree;
  • 3-5 years sales experience in data marketing with emphasis on B2B and knowledge of digital, direct mail and email channels
  • Established network of contacts;
  • Ability to articulate marketing needs, benefits statements, unique selling points of products;
  • Strong customer service experience;
  • Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices, and terminology;
  • Skill in organizing work schedule of self and others;
  • Ability to approach and effectively communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Ability to effectively function in a fast paced environment with quotas and goals;
  • Ability to engage in effective interpersonal interaction;
  • Ability to maintain high level of organization and attention to detail;
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests;
  • Ability to use computer software programs including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
