We are currently seeking an Account Director– Customer Acquisition to join our New York City, NY team of professionals. This is an exciting opportunity with great growth potential.

 

Our "ideal candidate" is smart, strategic, proactive and driven!  This individual must have 4+ years’ experience in a consultative Client Relations / Account Manager role in the direct and data marketing ecosystem (co-op experience is a plus). Additionally, the ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully onboarding clients, developing and overseeing customer acquisition strategy – including mail plans and test recommendations, identifying and solving customer issues, and owning relationships with existing and new clients with the goal of growing the network and driving incremental revenue.

 

This individual is responsible for providing data / customer acquisition strategy and services to a portfolio of clients, growing and retaining business, as well as the training and development of support staff.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Develop new business accounts and maintain business relationships with existing clients to meet sales goals. Negotiate with List/Data Managers for distinctive deals for clientele.
  • Maintain accuracy of reporting & integrity of customer service relationships with clients;
  • Attend trade shows, new business presentations & client reviews upon request;
  • Support Net Revenue, Creation of FY budget for team and accountability to meeting revenue numbers;
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and technology advancement in the industry;
  • Review mail plans, oversee strategy and review test recommendations;
  • Overall management and retention of client accounts;
  • Proactive problem resolution;
  • Liaison with Directors and other department managers;
  • Provide guidance, training, and benchmarks for all team members;
  • Manage expectations and set goals for each team member;
  • Supervise productivity benchmarks, operation and Net Revenue goals;
  • Participate in Brokerage Task Force & Corporate Task Force meetings.

Qualifications

In addition, our "ideal candidate" has the following skills & experience:

  

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university;
  • 4-8 years direct marketing agency / account management / co-op experience;
  • Skill in developing effective communication materials;
  • Ability to engage in effective interpersonal interaction as a professional and in a courteous manner;
  • Ability to make timely, effective decisions and follow through on long-term goals;
  • Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail;
  • Understanding of company products and services;
  • Understanding of ALC's Data and Digital services;
  • Ability to think creatively.
