ALC’s Smart Data Assets enable organizations to identify and connect with their precisely-targeted market and execute omnichannel campaigns via direct mail, email, digital display, telephone, social and addressable TV.

 

This role can be based in Princeton, NJ / New York City or Tarrytown, NY.

 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced, aggressive data sales person who can open doors and close sales in the direct response arena. The ideal candidate has a Rolodex filled with end-users, consultants, analysts and data aggregators who purchase business and consumer data for campaigns, analytics, customer intelligence and multichannel applications.

Responsibilities

  • Drive brand new business through outbound sales efforts
  • Experience in data sales promoting offline and digital offerings (specifically postal, email, and digital advertising)
  • Establish and meet budgeted revenue targets
  • Develop and maintain an active pipeline
  • Through effective pipeline management, communicate the results of sales calls, response to sales message and modify sales strategy accordingly
  • In partnership with marketing, modify sales support materials including product presentations to get to the right message
  • Contract discussion and negotiation
  • Identify and communicate market and competitive intelligence to be used in product development and pricing;
  • Maintain regular communication with senior staff regarding goals, objectives, needs and progress.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree;
  • 3-5 years new business sales experience in data marketing with knowledge of digital, direct mail and email channels as well as the agency/broker community
  • Established network of contacts;
  • Ability to articulate marketing needs, benefits statements, unique selling points of products;
  • Strong customer service experience;
  • Knowledge of the general industry procedures, practices, and terminology;
  • Skill in organizing independent work schedule of self and others;
  • Ability to approach and effectively communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Ability to effectively function in a fast paced environment with quotas and goals;
  • Ability to engage in effective interpersonal interaction;
  • Ability to maintain high level of organization and attention to detail;
  • Ability to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests;
  • Ability to use computer software programs and various systems including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
  • Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks.
