    We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Princeton, NJ area team of professionals.

     

    We are looking for a driven Financial Analyst to assist in the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This is a newly created position to meet the needs of our rapidly growing organization. You will be responsible for key functions such as the preparation and presentation of financial statements for internal management, investors, auditors, and financial partners. Additionally, you will be a critical member of the team responsible for month end close, forecasting, merger & acquisition modeling and integration. You will become ALC’s go-to person for Excel modeling exercises and PowerPoint deck preparation.

     

    “Our ideal candidate” has a proven track record as a Financial Analyst working with or for private equity firms and understands a fast-pace and demanding work environment. They are an expert in Excel and can take large volumes of data and quickly present summarized findings in a professional manner to executive management. You need to understand financial statements and how to build models where the balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow statement are all tied together. In addition, you will need to effectively perform the following responsibilities:

    • Coordinate and prepare monthly forecast/budget analysis and reports;
    • Review Financial Statements on a monthly basis and provide analysis as requested;
    • Analyze variances from budget and forecast;
    • Prepare monthly financial PowerPoint decks in a professional format, ready for MD&A;
    • Reconcile all financial presentations to published financial statements;
    • Build new reports in the company’s financial reporting software systems;
    • Work directly with business leaders and other senior management to gather information required to produce budgets and forecasts;
    • Document all processes and workflows;
    • A significant portion of the job will be ad-hoc analyses for executive management;
    • Assist senior management and investors with M&A targets and integrations;
    • Complete other special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Experience Requirements:

     

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major;
    • Good understanding of GAAP;
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience;
    • Expert Excel skills a must: Pivot tables and Lookups are average skills, not advanced. You must be fast and accurate, unfazed by urgent deadlines;
    • Advanced to Expert financial reporting experience a must;
    • Strong PowerPoint skills are necessary for success;
    • Critical personality traits include an attention to detail, a curious analytical mind, and strong organizational skills;
    • Experience with Host Analytics and Cognos a plus;
    • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and identify improvements opportunities;
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with little supervision;
    • Must be a team player and self-starter;
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
    • Ability to work with various levels of management;
    • Strong work ethic and the desire to learn.
